JOHANNESBURG – Ford SA is urging all customers who are called to have their Kuga vehicles collected to check with the relevant dealership first before handing their cars over.
The Intelligence Bureau has sent out a warning to owners to beware of a new scam where customers are called and told their vehicles will be collected as per the recall.
On its Facebook page, the Intelligence Bureau says that by the time the scammers call, they already have the Ford Kuga owner’s personal details.
But the car manufacturer says there there should be no instance where a motorist is phoned to have their car collected as a part of the recall procedure.
At the same time, Ford says its investigating an incident where a Figo burst into flames outside the Mediclinic in Nelspruit this week
