In Recife, capital of Pernambuco, Brazil, a trio of robbers attempted to assault passengers on a subway train. Luckily, the passengers were not ready to take their nonesense, and fought back. When all was said and done, one assailant was dead, and one beat up. One apparently managed to escape.

The incident occurred at the Imbiribeira Station, on the South Line of the Recife Metro, at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday December 6, 2016.

The assailants used a toy revolver to keep the passengers in check, but an unidentified passenger had himself a real gun on him, and was not afraid to use it. He shot 20 year old Antony Bezerra de Oliveira Filho dead, which was enough to scare his teenage accomplice, affording the other passengers to deliver street justice to him.

29 year old Joyce da Silva, wife of killed Antony whose bastard child he was raising, said her husband was a hardworking man who sold popcorn and water on the subway and was not involved in the crime.

Unconfirmed reports say the teenager who got beat up was only 14 years old. He is said to be from Camaragibe, where he lives with his mother. He’s been recognized by some passengers as an assailant who had previously carried out robberies on buses.
