Police said Brown boarded the RapidRide C Line bus at Third Avenue and Pike Street around 6 p.m. with a ski mask partially covering his face. When the bus reached West Seattle he approached two passengers and demanded their phones at gunpoint.
One passenger told police he initially refused the gunman’s demand, but Brown then pushed the handgun into his head and said, “Don’t make this harder”. John Briggs then handed over his phone, according to a police report.
When Brown turned to walk away, several passengers tackled and held him down until police arrived.
