The police minister says he has ‘activated action’ on the video and adds he will not allow police stations to be turned into hair salons.
Another video of SAPS members seemingly slacking on duty has caught Police Minister Fikile Mbalula’s attention.
The video was shared by Twitter user Thully Nkosi, who said she had visited Madadeni Police Station in KwaZulu-Natal to seek police assistance when she was met with officers who did not seem as if they were up for the job.
In the video, a female officer can be seen combing another female officer’s hair, with others in uniform sit at a table. Another male officer, apparently the station commander, comes to the lady taking the video and asks her to stop taking a video, which she doesn’t.
She alleged the officers only came to her assistance after realising she was taking a video.
“I only got assistance when they saw me capturing the video,” she said.
